Church of Scientology Volunteer Ministers Collect Donations for Hurricane Sandy Survivors

Church of Scientology Volunteer Ministers teamed up with local organizations to collect donations for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.It's been nearly two weeks since Hurricane Sandy blew into the Northeast. While most communities have begun the recovery process, the cries for help can still be heard.Nashville residents have firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to be a victim of Mother Nature, and that's why a group of volunteers are stepping up to help hurricane victims.

Hurricane Sandy: Volunteer Ministers Cleanup in New York

Scientology Volunteer Ministers helping in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, which slammed into New York October 29, flooding streets, tunnels and subway lines and cutting power in and around the city.

Although Hurricane Sandy slammed into the eastern United States October 29, many thousands New York City and New Jersey families are still without power. Distribution of emergency supplies is an issue for those without transportation.  New York and New Jersey Volunteer Ministers have formed up clean up teams and are assisting FEMA with food and water delivery.

Tampa Volunteer Ministers’ Hold Successful Autumn Blood Drive in Clearwater

The Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology of Tampa collected 57 units of blood this weekend at their Autumn Blood Drive in downtown Clearwater. This was the fourth and final blood drive of 2012 by the Volunteer Ministers, (also known as VMs), who worked with Florida Blood Services on the event.  The blood drive came at a critical time. As colleges and workplaces are gearing up for vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas, the number of blood donations from these sources decreases.

Scientology Volunteer Minister Ayal Lindeman Named Nurse of the Year

The Rockland County Haitian American Nurses Association honored Ayal Lindeman with their Nurse of the Year Award.

At the annual gala celebration and fundraising event September 15, the Rockland County Haitian American Nurses Association, HANA, presented their 2012 Inspiring Leader and Nurse of the Year Award to Ayal Lindeman for his service to the people of Haiti.

A special graduation and open house June 13 at the Lord Baden-Powell Memorial School in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, attended by students, faculty and parents, acknowledged students who completed Disaster Response Specialist Training through the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Africa Goodwill Tour.
