With heavy monsoon rains triggering catastrophic flooding, Pakistan has suffered the worst natural disaster in its history. At one point, approximately one-fifth of Pakistan—a landmass the size of England—was under water. 

Today, the official tally of casualties is over 1,700 with another 20 million forced to flee their homes—more than those displaced by the 2004 Indian tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake combined.

Officials and citizens of Sriracha, Thailand turned out today to welcome the Scientology Volunteer Minister Southeast Asian Goodwill Tour to their city.

Volunteer Ministers and other Community Emergency Response Teams drill life saving skills in triage and search and rescue operations.

On October 23, Hector Mendéz, president and founder of Topos México, the elite search and rescue team, was in flood-weary Veracruz, helping to unite relief efforts there. On his official Topos rescue jumpsuit he proudly sported a recently added Scientology Volunteer Ministers badge.

Seattle area VMs join volunteers from several local businesses and charitable organizations to pack food boxes destined for the hungry.

Working to help eradicate hunger in their area, several Seattle area Volunteer Ministers (VMs) regularly assist at the city’s Food Lifeline Center, a non-profit organization feeding those in need throughout western Washington.

The purpose of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers is to simply help their fellow Man whenever and wherever disaster large or small may strike. So when VMs in the Seattle area heard about the purpose and needs of Food Lifeline they wanted to help.

Volunteer Ministers Bringing Hope & Help to Flood Victims in Thailand

Scientology Volunteer Ministers traveled to two areas in northeast Thailand to help victims of what has been described by Thai officials as the worst flooding in several decades.
