Helping create a world without criminality, without insanity and without war is the ambitious aim of the India Scientology Goodwill Tour.
“We are trying to help able persons be more able,” says tour director Marion Whitta. In the past six weeks, over 2,000 persons have been trained in the big yellow tent at the basketball court adjacent the AU Central Canteen [of Andhra University], she explained.
The training classes begin at 10 a.m. and go on till 5 p.m. Sometimes the classes are extended to accommodate some individual students. At the big yellow tent, one can get training in 18 aspects of life including how to study, communicate with ease and confidence, find the real cause of conflict, alleviate illnesses and injuries, revive dreams, improve conditions in life, raise happy children and tools to achieve goals.
The University allowed the tour team to set up the tent on the campus to enable the students and faculty access the training programmes. The Goodwill Tour has in the last seven years trained firefighters, policemen, officers, doctors and also helped patients across India. “Whatever the problem, we believe something can be done about it, (the motto is carried prominently on the tent),” said Whitta.
